On March 11, 2020, 45th U.S President Donald J. Trump announced a nation-wide ban on all airborne travel to and from Europe, in order to halt the spread of the infamous “Corona-Virus.” Covid-19 originated in the Wuhan Providence of China and has been dubbed a pandemic by the World Health Organization (W.H.O.) As of March 19, 2020, the virus has taken reportedly taken 10,025 lives and infected more than 200,000 worldwide. Starting on Friday March 13, 2020 the ban will be implemented, last for at least 30 days, and is expected to negatively impact stocks on airline companies such as American Airlines and Delta. The European Union (E.U) has released a statement objecting to this plan stating, “The European Union disapproves of the fact that the U.S. decision to impose a travel ban was taken unilaterally and without consultation.”
